Street light and unwrap unv- nolight

Well here are one of my props, its a street light. I spent a week modeling, unwrap, and texturing. The only problem now are the light, every time I put one on it makes it look like a staff rather than a street light.

Edit: There is my sketch of the street light. There was going to be different styles of it but I'll do it after I finish my other 3d projects.
